Modi Is ‘insensitive’ Towards Telangana

Within just two days of TRS Chief and Telangana CM KCR’s boycott of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s NITI Ayog meeting citing ‘raw deal’ to the state on various issues, the TRS party has once again lashed out at the Indian Prime Minister and even called him insensitive towards the issues of Telugu states and Telangana in particular.

A delegation led by the TRS MP Vinod has called on the Governor this morning and demanded an immediate bifurcation of the common High Court of Telugu states. The TRS leaders even warned of stalling the parliament if the Prime Minister fails to act towards the bifurcation of the High Court within 21st July, before the monsoon sessions of Parliament commence.

Speaking after the party’s meeting with Governor Narasimhan, the Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar said that TRS has been displeased with the Prime Minister over his insensitive attitude towards the disputes between the Telugu states. The MP also said that Modi should recommend to the President to notify a separate High Court for Telugu states, as per the Reorganisation Act.

The separate High Court for Telugu states has resulted in a series of agitations by the lawyers and protests by the TRS party in the Parliament, ever since the court ruled that a separate High Court for Andhra Pradesh should function from AP itself.
