Income Tax officials have conducted raids on Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee- The Fighter film unit. As per reports, the raids are happening at homes of director Sreenu Vaitla, producer DVV Danayya, music director SS Thaman and few others. Raids are in progress on other celebrities also such as producer-distributor Dil Raju, who is releasing Bruce Lee in Nizam area (bought the rights for 12.85 crores).
The raids come a day ahead of the release Bruce Lee, which has been made at an estimated cost of Rs. 60 crore. The film has made around Rs 70 crore+ business which includes theatrical rights, satellite rights, audio rights and other business. The IT sleuths are checking whether there was any black money pumped on this high budget entertainer.
Film celebrities have become prime focus for IT officials in recent times. Few days ago, they launched raids on Tamil actor Vijay, during Puli release. The taxmen also raided the houses of actresses Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Nayanthara and producers PT Selva Kumar and Shibu Thameens and financier Ramesh of Puli on the same day.
Due to sudden raids, Puli release got delayed for two shows. However, the raids on Bruce Lee team will not affect its release as all finances are already cleared.
