Prabhas Criticized Over Voting No-Show

May 14, 2024

Amidst whispers of Prabhas’s international escapades, rumors swirled that the Tollywood superstar had acquired a residence in the UK, shuttling between continents for film shoots and personal pursuits. However, it was not tales of distant lands that captured public attention, but rather his conspicuous absence during the recent electoral spectacle in the Telugu states.

The elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana unfolded as monumental chapters in the region’s political saga, witnessing an unprecedented surge of voter turnout. As citizens flocked to the polling stations to shape the future of their constituencies, Prabhas’s name was notably absent from the roster of celebrity voters who graced the booths with their presence.

In the midst of political fervor, luminaries from the Telugu film fraternity, including Mahesh Babu, Jr. NTR, Allu Arjun, and others, stood as shining examples of civic duty, casting their ballots amidst the democratic tableau. However, Prabhas’s no-show elicited surprise and disappointment, amplifying existing criticisms regarding his sporadic engagement with electoral processes. While the echoes of public disapproval reverberate across social spheres, Prabhas embarks on a new cinematic odyssey with Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa.’

Amidst the fantastical realms of this epic venture, his absence from the ballot box serves as a sobering reminder that even amidst the glitz of stardom, the responsibilities of citizenship cannot be eclipsed by the allure of distant shores.
