‘Cut The Finger, If It is Pointed at Modi’

Even as the criticism is heaped over BJP and other right-wing leaders over their aggressive statements (be it on Padmavati or any other row in the recent times), they seem to be not bothered. Unfazed BJP leaders continue to make such ‘vicious’ remarks.

The latest is that BJP president of Bihar-state unit has given a call that any finger raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be broken or chopped off. he said that Modi is the representative of poor, common man. Heaping praises on Modi, he said that Modi has reached the heights.

Nityanand Rai, who is also Member of Parliament, said, “Modi is the symbol of poor. Born into an ordinary family, he has become the Prime Minister. He is striving his best to eradicate poor, black money. He took steps such as Demonetisation, GST for the benefit of people in long run. Anyone who speaks against poor should be considered against Modi. If fingers are raised at him, those should be broken or chopped off.”

Rai’s remarks have made these comments that created a huge stir in the political circuits. However, Rai later tendered apology and said ‘sorry’. He retracted his remarks.
