Agnathavasi And Bhagmati: No It’s Wrong

Tollywood is not going new in terms of content and film production style if we have to say. We’re yet to see brilliant offbeat films, terrific award grabbers and stunning performance oriented stories on our silver screen. Barring a few like Garuda Vega, rest is the same.

But it looks like now every filmmaker is focused on the way their films are written and spelled in other languages. Recently we have seen the first looks of movies like Anushka’s Bhagmati and Pawan Kalyan’s Agnathavasi taking fans with huge excitement. But the spellings of these films when written in English are not the above ones.

Yes, in general, you may write Agnathavasi but it is actually to be written “Agnyaathavaasi”, an ‘nya’ for the ‘inya vathhu’ and ‘aa’ for the ‘deergam’ in ‘vaasi’.

Same is the case with Bhagmati, as the makers like to spell it “Bhaagmathie” in English. But the common word sound more exciting than this spelling suggested by the makers in this case.

But these English corrections look like the advice a numerologist gives to Sunil in the movie “Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appal Raju” to change his name and his film’s name to something else.
