I Won’t Touch Nandi Till I Die – Posani

“Many times you have canceled an exam when accusations popped up on the leaked question paper. But why not cancel Nandi Awards now with severe accusations coming their way?” questioned actor Krishna Murali to Telugudesam government of Andhra Pradesh today. He received Best Supporting Actor for Temper movie at the recently announced awards.

Threatening to give back his Nandi and owing to never touch it again in his life, Posani breathed fire against TDP, Chandrababu and Nara Lokesh for making Andhraites living in Hyderabad feel like non-locals with their statements.

“Some people are calling us Telugu Rohingyas. While KCR, a staunch Telanganite, has called us his sons, you’re making us non-locals. Learn from him about treating everyone equal” he said, miffed with the comments of Nara Lokesh that all those accusing Nandi crybabies don’t even have an ID Card with Andhra address.

“You (Lokesh) are paying property tax of your permanent residence in Hyderabad to Telangana government only. So how come you ask about our local and non-local status? Will you say that those who vote for Telugudesam are Andhraites? Or will you arrange passports for all to come to Andhra Pradesh?”, Posani questioned.

“If these Nandi awards are not canceled and then awarded again based on a survey as said by Chandrababu garu, I’m not going to accept it. I will not dare to touch this Nandi forever in life, till I die if these awards (2014-16 awards) are not canceled” he concluded.
