Where is Vidya Balan Movie Review

After a long hiatus, actor Prince has a release. He teamed up with Burning Star Sampoornesh Babu this time around and the makers choose a safe bet – crime comedy – which has become a Box Office formula to rake in moolah. Check out our verdict to know whether the combo of Prince, Sampoo worked well or not.

Story :

Kakinada Kiran (Prince), a BTech graduate, had a rift with his father and comes out of his home to lead his life on his own. He makes his living as a pizza delivery boy where he encounters with a physician Swathi (Jyoti Sethi) and he falls for her instantly. She didn’t budge initially but she has a soft corner on him.

In between, the couple lands themselves in a high-profile murder mystery and the controversy surrounding it. Minister (Jayaprakash Reddy) and Surya Foundation hospital top doctor (Rao Ramesh) have a connection with the case and trying to frame Kiran, Swathi into the case.

What’s the connection between minister, top doctor and the murder case? Will they succeed in framing Kiran, Swathi in the case? Who’s Vidya Balan? What’s it connection to story? How did cops solve the mystery of Where is Vidya Balan?

Performances:

Actor Prince is at it again. He showcased his usual style of acting. However, newcomer Jyothi and actor Sampoornesh Babu are the showstoppers. Good actors like Jayaprakash, Rao Ramesh are confined to incomplete roles and have been wasted. The director recruited good actors but he failed to do justice to lot of them. Tagubothu Ramesh role is short yet sweet, significant.

Technicalities:

The technical aspects of the film are a bit week and they could have been better. Music is not soothing yet songs have been shot well.

Analysis:

The auteur of director Katha, Srinivas, strictly made a film that appeal to mass audiences. The crime comedy initially struggles as the first portion of the film is the stumbling block. It took a while for the director to realise and set the film straight.

Post interval, the film picks up and as the movie progresses towards end, it appeals. The comedy scenes are hilarious and they give a run for money to other crime comedies. The nuances of don Ganta (Sampoornesh Babu) tickle the funnybone and makes the film engaging.

Also, the romance between the lead pair Kiran, Swathi (Prince, Jyothi) is passable. Songs shot on the lead pair are eye candy. The twist towards the end revealed by police inspector Asish Vidayarthi is worthy. Watch it if you’re great lover of mass entertainers. For class audiences, “Where is Vidya Balan” might not be their cup of tea.

Verdict: Mass Entertainer For B,C Centers
