Srimanthudu is a big hit mainly because of its theme. Adopting villages and rich people contributing to the overall upliftment of poor village chaps is liked by many. At this juncture, as Manchu Vishnu adopting 10 villages in his native Chittoor district and Shruti Haasan planning to adopt one in Tamilnadu became a huge discussion. As everyone started to hail Mahesh Babu as an inspiration behind, both revealed what exactly happened.
‘I’ve adopted those 10 villages in 2013 itself. But we’re unable to solve the water crisis there. However after looking at what my friends did in a village in Maharashtra to solve the water crisis, I thought that we would implement same method here too’, said Manchu Vishnu, indirectly hinting that he has adopted villages much before arrival of Srimanthudu movie.
At the same time, Shruti Haasan too revealed that her father inspired her to take up this wonderful initiative nearly two years back. ‘I’ve not copied Mahesh Babu’s idea, but has planned to adopt two years back only’, she revealed, in a recent media interaction.
So, Manchu Vishnu and Shruti Haasan are Srimanthulu much before Mahesh Babu became one. Maybe Koratala Siva knows about these two and hence penned that story. Anyway, if all rich creme adopts villages, then the world will turn into a global village soon.
