Vidya Balan is making her debut in Tollywood with the NTR biopic. She will be essaying the role of Basavatarakam, wife of legendary actor-politician NT Rama Rao.
Balakrishna aka Balayya, who is co-producing the movie, is playing his father NTR.
The actor had to convince Vidya Balan to get on board. Reportedly, she was paid a staggering amount as her salary by the producers.
According to sources, she was paid nearly Rs 1.5 crore to play Basavatarakam in the NTR biopic.
A couple of weeks ago, she was welcomed by Balakrishna’s family. The actress joined the shoot in Hyderabad.
The biopic is expected to hit the silver screens early next year.
