Rashmika To Dance With ‘Devara’ Girl In Special Song For ‘Pushpa’?

May 28, 2024

The phenomenal success of the item song “Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava” from the Telugu film “Pushpa: The Rise” has created a significant challenge for the makers of the sequel, “Pushpa 2: The Rule.” The song, featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s captivating performance and Devi Sri Prasad’s addictive music, became a national sensation. Now, the team behind “Pushpa 2” must strive to deliver an item song that can even match, let alone surpass, the brilliance of “Oo Antava.”

According to industry insiders, the makers are taking a bold approach by featuring not one, but two leading actresses in the special song for “Pushpa 2.” Janhvi Kapoor, who is making her Telugu debut with the film “Devara,” is reportedly one of the contenders. Kapoor has previously showcased her dancing skills in a sensual number titled “Nadiyon Paar.” The other contender is Tripti Dimri, known for her breakout role in the film “Animal.” While Dimri hasn’t yet performed in a dedicated dance number, her portrayal of “Bhabi 2” in “Animal” has garnered significant popularity among young audiences.

The inclusion of both Kapoor and Dimri, alongside the film’s lead actress Rashmika Mandanna, is a strategic move to capitalize on the widespread youth appeal of these celebrities. Notably, Rashmika Mandanna, who portrays Pushparaj’s wife Srivalli, will also be participating in the dance number. Initial reports suggested that Deepika Padukone was considered for the role, but her pregnancy necessitated a change in plans.

While the official confirmation regarding Janhvi Kapoor and Tripti Dimri’s involvement in the song remains awaited, the prospect of these two talented actresses joining forces with Rashmika Mandanna has undoubtedly generated excitement among fans. The success of the item song in “Pushpa 2” will be contingent on not only replicating the musical brilliance of Devi Sri Prasad but also on the combined charisma and dance prowess of the potential leading trio.
