Ever since Roja left TDP, there is a vacuum in the party to substitute her place. And the party has been hunting for a name to pit against Roja in verbal attack. And the latest name to crop up is yesteryear heroine Vani Viswanath. Her latest statement to join TDP if she joins politics is the source of all these speculations. In fact, her statement triggered a debate within TDP and outside TDP. The moot question on everyone’s lips is whether Vani could garner the craze that Roja has got.
She might be controversial figure, her comments might have opened can of worms, yet Roja has her own image among people. Although she is no longer a prominent actor in Cinema, she is indeed popular face on TV show Jabardasth. She is quite known to audiences. Whereas Vani has been on a long hiatus from her acting career. Vani recently made her comeback with Jaya Janaki Nayaka and she hardly has anything to do in the film.
While a few rumours have it that TDP could even field Vani from Nagiri against Roja, a section in TDP condemning the talk saying that Gali is much more senior and he would be in the top priority. Majority opine that Vani could be invited into TDP, but she cannot match up to Roja. Let’s wait and see.
