Producer Dil Raju himself admitted that he was very disappointed with the opening talk of Srinivasa Kalyanam. He said he was very upset with the negative talk on the film on the release day (Aug 9) and he had flown to Goa by catching 3 PM flight. Raju said he had even decided not to touch family film again as the film received bad reviews and many youth have described it as ‘boring’.
Whereas Raju said the response from family audiences has made him happy afterwards. He said the compliments, praises from family section has given him the much-needed satisfaction. Dil Raju said that satisfaction is what drives a producer. He said he has received many appreciations from family audiences for showcasing the prominence of marriage and traditions, culture.
Director Satish Vegesna also responded on the reports that Srinivasa Kalyanam has shades of his previous film Shatamanam Bhavati. He said both the films are set against village backdrop and apart from that there are no common elements. While the film is expected to be a loss venture financially, Raju is contented that the film has hit right section of audiences that is blessing in disguise.
