Sukumar Is Brilliant Filmmaker: DSP

May 8, 2024

Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), the acclaimed music composer, recently attended a celebratory event in Hyderabad marking two decades since the release of the Telugu film “Arya.” The event not only commemorated the film’s enduring legacy but also recognized director Sukumar’s two-decade-long journey in the Telugu film industry.

DSP expressed his elation at being part of “Arya” and lauded Sukumar’s exceptional filmmaking prowess. He revealed that their initial meeting to discuss the film took place at Dil Raju’s office, with an unconventional setting – sitting on a water tank during the narration. The composer went on to describe his profound impression of Sukumar’s meticulously crafted screenplay for the first half. He remarked on how captivated he was by the narrative, unlike his usual practice of raising questions during story discussions. In his own words, Sukumar’s exceptional preparation ensured the story’s clarity, leaving no room for doubts. DSP further emphasized Sukumar’s position as one of the most brilliant filmmakers currently working in Telugu cinema.

Adding a touch of musical magic to the event, DSP himself performed the popular song “Feel My Love” from the “Arya” soundtrack. This reunion not only celebrated the past but also highlighted the ongoing collaboration between DSP, Allu Arjun, and Sukumar for their upcoming film “Pushpa.”
