Even though it’s been three months that the Andhra Pradesh has been unilaterally divided and new state Telangana has been carved out, the dust hasn’t settled for the people of two new states and its leaders. Like the many other industries that are now in quandary whether to shift their base to the new capital or to stick to existing Hyderabad, entertainment industry too facing no different situation. Many might say that art has no “cultural barriers” but the ground realities are a bit different.
Already many producers are planning to have their audio launches, other filmy events in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Triupati to send out signals that they need support of both the states. While the music of Gopichand-starrer Loukyam is set to be unveiled in Vijayawada, the makers of Aagadu have planned to do a great event in Visakhapatnam on Sunday including hoisting Aagadu flag at the do. Not long ago, the audio launch of Vishnu Manchu-Ram Gopal Varma’s Rowdy was released in Tiupati, the hotbed of Rayalaseema.
Producers and stars are apparently going through tough time in winning the hearts of distributors, movie-lovers and people of both states. Especially, stars have good fan base in both Telangana and Seemandhra and both are expecting their heroes to turn up at their land. With this kind of growing demand, T-town is said to be literally at cross-roads. Nevertheless, T-town has to overcome this and has to establish its roots on either sides for its well-being.
