This is how Amit Shah disappointed the TDP

Amit Shah’s conflicting signals have left the TDP baffled in Andhra Pradesh. The Union Home Minister, who was in Tirupati to attend the Southern Zone Council meet in Tirupati, has also addressed the BJP leaders. During the meeting, he said the BJP was equidistant from both the TDP and the YSRCP. He said that there was no love lost between the BJP and the TDP.

While stating that the YSRCP was the enemy number 1, Amit Shah has categorically said that there was no possibility of an alliance with the TDP either. He suggested that the party grow on its own and emerge as an alternative to the YSRCP. At the same time, he said that the TDP was a dying party. This clear and categorical pronouncement has poured cold water on all those within and outside the BJP who were hoping for an alliance with the TDP.

For the TDP leaders, who were down in the dumps over the voting trends in Kuppam, this was very demoralizing. Amit Shah said this in the presence of MPs CM Ramesh and Sujana Chowdary. Both the leaders remained tight-lipped on Amit Shah’s complaint. Amit Shah and Modi clearly have not forgotten the insults and abused heaped by the TDP leaders, including Chandrababu Naidu, on the BJP leaders during the 2019 election.

Interestingly, Chandrababu Naidu, who went to Delhi to meet Amit Shah on the issue of attacks on the TDP offices, did not even bother to seek an appointment while Amit Shah was in Tirupati. Why Chandrababu could go up to Delhi, why not seek an appointment here in Tirupati? It has also now been proved beyond doubt that Amit Shah did not even make a phone call to Chandrababu Naidu.
