A 21-year-old student of Telangana doing graduation course in Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani-Goa campus committed suicide by hanging himself at hostel room on Monday. Reportedly, the student named C Narsimha Reddy (21), who hailed from Sanga Reddy district, took the extreme step hours after his parents visited him on Sunday.
Narsimha’s parents suspected that there is something wrong as their son didn’t pick their call when they were taking flight back to Hyderabad from Goa. Immediately, they rushed to hostel room, broke the back door and found the dead body of their son lying on bed.
Around 5 PM on Monday, Narsimha’s parents started back to Hyderabad along with his deceased body. According to Police officials, the Telugu student was in his final (fourth) year of Computer Science program at the institute and the reasons for his death are yet to be known.
