Talk: These Two Films Proved A Point

Watching a film is a different and a special experience all-together. And there is nothing like USA audiences don’t like mass movies and Indian audiences are not liking class films. Irrespective of the genre, the audience would love to watch the films, if the content is good.

Last week, two films including Rangasthalam and Baaghi released at the box office. Many thought that these two films won’t work at the box office because they feel that USA audience will not accept mass films like Rangasthalam and local audiences are not watching routine action films like Baaghi 2. But here is what they did.

Weighing down all the criticism, Baaghi 2 has proved the thought wrong as it collected 3.4 million from the USA and 73 crores from India over the first weekend. That means audiences are still loving the masala action content where the hero turns a superhero and does the extraordinary.

Coming to Rangasthalam, the film collected 2 million dollars from the USA already and made 50 crores share just in three days of run. So NRI audiences literally rolled out a red carpet for this village based mass flick. So there is a lesson to learn from these two cases.

The audience once again made it clear that people love to watch all types of films and the only thing that matters is the content and how they are holding them to seats for two long hours. So don’t cry on audiences and don’t cry on reviews, come up with engaging content!!
