Suma and Rajeev Kanakala are one of the ideal celeb couples who are famous in Television as well as film industries. They have been supporting each other since their struggling days, some two decades ago. Recently, Rajeev Kanakala opened up about how Suma took class to him on not bagging more movie offers.
During a recent interview, Rajeev Kanakala said, ‘It is a general norm in the film industry to stay in regular touch with everyone in order to get movie offers. One must call heroes, producers and directors on a regular basis, and stay in their good books. Somehow, I don’t like this system of asking for roles. I have many friends in film industry, but I never try to exploit my relationship with them, this is probably the reason why I don’t get many offers.
Suma understood this, and she took a class to me one day. She advised me that I should be more proactive like others. But, I am still uncomfortable with asking for roles’.
