GV Prakash Responds To Trolls & Claims They Are ‘Disheartening’!
GV Prakash Kumar, a prominent music composer in the South Indian film industry, recently issued a statement regarding his separation from his wife Saindhavi. The couple, married for 11 years, announced their decision to part ways in May 2024.
This news sparked a flurry of online discussions, rumors, and even trolling, prompting Prakash Kumar to address the situation directly. In his statement, he expressed his disappointment at the public’s intrusion into his personal life. “It’s disheartening to see people debate about the union or separation of two people without proper understanding,” he remarked. He emphasized the lack of propriety in passing judgment on celebrities’ personal lives.
Further emphasizing the hurtful nature of online speculation, Prakash Kumar questioned, “Has Tamil people’s honor come down so much that they don’t realize how their comments hurt people?” He clarified that the decision to separate was a result of careful consideration and communicated only to close family and friends.

For those unfamiliar, GV Prakash Kumar is a successful music composer known for his soulful melodies and trendy tracks. He has composed music for numerous Tamil films, some of which have been dubbed in Telugu and achieved significant popularity. He has also pursued acting, starring in Tamil films occasionally with some being dubbed in Telugu. His most recent release was “DeAr” alongside Aishwarya Rajesh.
The couple, married in 2013, welcomed their daughter Anvi in 2020. Their separation announcement emphasized mutual respect and personal growth as the driving factors behind their decision. They requested understanding and support during this challenging time.
It’s important to note that GV Prakash Kumar is the son of AR Reihana, the elder sister of the legendary music composer AR Rahman.
