The event has been a source of intense national discussion for more than a decade. Directed by Ranjan Chandel, the film was submitted for censorship certification. However, the board recommended a revised release date, leading the makers to choose August 2nd.

There is significant anticipation surrounding the film, with many expecting it to be even more hard-hitting than recent controversial movies like “The Kashmir Files” and “Kerala Story.” The delayed release due to the elections only adds to the intrigue surrounding “The Sabarmati Report.”
