A senior Telugu filmmaker, who has been receiving treatment at a reputed private hospital in Hyderabad for the past one month, has reportedly got the shock of his life after he saw the bill.
The exorbitant bill that the hospital charged was for all the expenses including his treatment, room rent, the suites provided for his family members and the guests that come to visit him and other provisions. Rumor is that upon seeing the bill, he was so miffed that he moved out of the VVIP ward to the next low level ward in the same hospital. The astronomical bill he received has become one of the hot topics in film and political circles.
Being a well off celebrity, if he himself couldn’t digest the bill then what about middle class people. Can they dare to approach these high-cost private hospitals. Even if the doctors manage to cure the disease, the bill will mentally and emotionally weaken the patient and family.
