Recently Allu Arjun played the role of an army returned guy in Sarrainodu movie and that’s now followed by a bunch of young heroes. Rana has donned full-time Navy officer role in Ghazi, Karthi was seen as an airforce pilot in Cheliya while Sai Dharam Tej will boast shades of army guy in Jawan. Even in MCA, Middle Class Abbayi, Nani will be seen wearing the uniform for a couple of scenes, a source revealed.
While playing a soldier is one fetish, playing political characters became another interesting happening. Mahesh Babu will be seen as CM in “Bharat Anu Nenu”, while Rana Daggubati is playing a similar role in “Nene Raju Nene Mantri”. It’s rumoured that Jr NTR’s Jai role in “Jai Lava Kusa” is that of a politician, while Balayya is also playing a political biggie in his upcoming 102nd film under KS Ravi Kumar’s direction. Manchu Vishnu is coming up with “Voter” movie, which deals with politics fulltime.
Well, soldiers and politics are the latest fetishes of Tollywood if we have to go by these happenings. We have to see how many heroes will impress with these trendy acts.
