The general knowledge of students in high-profile schools is alarming as many of them hardly aware of several simple yet important things related to politics, politicians. Recently one such case was spotted in a Telugu-speaking city where many of kids fumbled a lot to tell the name of their own CM.
Going into the details, granddaughter of Chief Minister of a Telugu-speaking state received shocker of her age as her friends couldn’t identify her grandfather. As per the eye-witnesses, one of the Telugu CM’s granddaughter was proud and showing off her political lineage with her classmates but what her friends replied was out of the blue as they replied that they don’t know who he is.
It is learnt that the kids by nature didn’t know who the CM of the state is. Blame it on kids busy parents and teachers who are bombarding students with bookish knowledge but not general knowledge. We hear that the most of those rich kids’ families have migrated from other states, abroad and most of them are business families.
Yet that doesn’t justify the poor GK of students who are the future of the nation. It’s high time parents, teachers and educational institutions to look into the matter.
