Selfie Raja Review

Story:

Selfie Raja (Allari Naresh) is a selfie maniac and a chatterbox who always run in to trouble. One fine day, he falls flat for Swetha (Kamna Ranawat) who is the only daughter of a Police Commissioner (Nagineedu). Some how the marriage happens but do not stand time. Misunderstandings creep in between the couple and Selfie Raja hired a contract killer (Ravibabu) to finish himself. What happens next in the story has to be seen on screen.

Performances:

As always, Selfie Raja is a one man show of Allari Naresh. He creeps in to the role with tremendous ease and with his comedy timing, tries to invoke laughter. Kamna Ranawat is okay and looked good in few scenes. Sakshi Chowdary gives you a feel why she is in the film. Sapthagiri is okay in parts while Thagubothu Ramesh is at his usual self. 30 Years Industry Prudhvi managed good response with his Balayya kind dialogues. Krishna Bhagwan is seen as a deaf man and is okay. Ravibabu is of no great effect due to a poorly etched role. Rest of them are okay.

Technicial Performances:

Director Eshwar Reddy had come up with a wafer thin story. The biggest drawback for the film is that he continued all the things which are most common things in Allari Naresh’s films. Audience have grown bored of such films with routine elements. Several comedians just come and go with out any purpose. Several comedy scenes do not tickle the funny bones but in turn irritate the audience. The interval bang showed some good intent but the second half is an even bigger disappointment. There are several spoofs of blockbuster films in the movie except a spoof of Nannaku Prematho, others are disappointing.

Sai Kartheek has come up with disappointing album. Further they comes as speed breakers in between the flow, irritating the audience. Back Ground Score is also equally lack luster. Lokanathan’s camera work is just about okay with poor grading at some places. Senior Editor MR Verma is disappointing with his scissors. Production Values are okay.

Plus Points:

Few one liners
Spoof on Sukumar, Nannaku Prematho

Minus Points:

Wafer thin story
Bad Direction
Crude Humor
Second Half

Final Say:

Allari Naresh seem to be not learning from the mistakes, he repeated all those mistakes in his previous films in this film as well. There is not at least one reason why one should watch these films. Very few ones, will come in the trailers anyway.
