Is ‘Salaar 2’ Shelved By Neel & Prabhas?
Following a string of unsuccessful films, Prabhas’ action saga “Salaar Part 1,” directed by Prashanth Neel, emerged as a box-office triumph in December last year. While the film exceeded expectations, garnering over ₹725 crore, it fell short of the coveted ₹1 billion mark due to limited promotions and competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki.” Produced by Hombale Films, “Salaar Part 1” was hailed by fans as Prabhas’ best work since the epic “Baahubali.”
The film’s narrative was left unresolved, prompting the announcement of a sequel titled “Salaar 2: Shouryangaparvam.” However, the project’s status has become shrouded in uncertainty.
Recent rumors suggest a possible cancellation of “Salaar 2” due to alleged creative differences between Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. Furthermore, Prabhas’ current commitments to films like “Kalki,” “Raja Saab,” and “Spirit” create scheduling conflicts. Neel’s upcoming project with NTR Jr. further complicates matters.
