In 2014, one of Tollywood’s leading actresses Samantha had four Telugu releases out of which only Manam became a blockbuster while the other three films like Autonagar Surya, Alludu Seenu and Rabhasa ended up as huge flops. Sam then shifted based to Kollywood in 2015.
In Tamil, Samantha acted in a handful of crazy projects like 10 Endrathukulla, Nava Manmadhudu, Theri and Bangalore Naatkal. Sam was quite proud of all these projects and even claimed that her roles in 10 Endrathukulla and Nava Manmadhudu were the best films of her career.
Sadly, both the films flopped while her only Telugu release in 2015, S/O Satyamurthy, became a decent hit here. This must have made Samantha realize that she should not distance herself from Tollywood and Telugu fans. And now, Sam packed her bags back to Hyderabad.
In 2016, Samantha has 3 Telugu releases A..Aa, Brahmotsavam and Janatha Garage, and if Krishna Vamsi manages to wind up his Rudraksha quickly, Sam will have 4 Tollywood films whereas in Tamil, she only has Vijay’s Theri and Suriya’s 24. Is Samantha following a 2-eyed policy while juggling Tollywood and Kollywood in her quest for a solid hit?
