What A ‘Safe Game’ By Naa Peru Surya!

Playing it so safe is something that is dealt with content. Rather coming out with unique stories and characterisations, star heroes often stick to routine masala subjects. But now things are changing and Allu Arjun is also joining that list of unique films after Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu.

Apparently, Naa Peru Surya is coming after Rangasthalam and Bharat Anu Nenu, and many are eagerly waiting to see if the film will become hat-trick blockbuster of the season. However, to make the film a profitable venture for all, Allu Arjun has played it very safe for the distributors.

While his last film Duvvada Jagannadham collecting 72+ crores share from the box office, Bunny and his makers decided to sell Naa Peru Surya at the same range. The overall pre-release business of Telugu theatrical rights is close to 58+ crores in Telugu states and 7 crores in Karnataka. And, overseas rights fetched 6 crores only, thus making the total theatrical business to 72 crores. Tamil and Malayalam versions of the film are sold for 1.5 and 2 crores respectively.

In the current scenario, with holidays around, an above-average talk will help Allu Arjun easily overtake this figure and paddle all his distributors to safe shores. In the recent times, we’ve Bharat Anu Nenu sold for 100+ crores and the film might end up a little short of this. Rather giving blows to distributors in that way, it’s better a film gets for fewer rates like Rangasthalam. Seems like Allu Arjun played this safe game well.
