Many of our star heroes also have dreams of expanding their market to other Southern states, as heroes like Vikram and Surya have minted money for their dubbed films here, many a time. While Allu Arjun is somewhat successful in gaining stardom in Malayalam, Mahesh’s attempt in doing so with Spyder turned a big failure.
Looks like Prabhas is prone to fall into the similar pit, where Mahesh fell in with Spyder. Mahesh Babu and Murugadoss’s combination raised expectations, but the film totally failed to live up to them due to a weak story and making, the main reason behind Telugu audience disowning the film is because of star cast, purely dominated by Tamil actors.
Now, if we have to look at Prabhas’s Saaho star cast revealed so far, most of them are from Bollywood like Shraddha Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Evelyn Sharma and Mandira Bedi, probably to make huge business in Non-Telugu versions. No doubt Bollywood market is big, but neglecting Telugu audience for business is not a great move, that too after seeing what happened to Spyder.
Another observation from fans and film enthusiasts is that these Bollywood actors are busy praising and mentioning Prabhas in most of their tweets and social media posts to make him more familiar with Bollywood audience. Overhype and non-Telugu star cast may be termed blunders of the movie fails to impress later.
