Seems like troubles are in no mood to leave ‘RRR’ anytime soon. This massive project faced a lot of hurdles right from the beginning and the film was recently postponed after finishing the entire promotion. This disappointed everyone including the film’s team. Just as they are coming out of it, a new problem has arisen.
Alluri Soumya who hails from Satyavarapu Undrajavaram of West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh has filed a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) in the Telangana High Court claiming that ‘RRR’ has distorted history. Adding to it, the petitioner alleged that Rajamouli is going to give us a false story of two great freedom fighters – Alluri Seetha Ramaraju and Komuram Bheem. They also claim that it will be hurting the sentiments of many and ‘RRR’ should be stopped at the censor board itself. She asked for a stay on the film’s release.
Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice Venkateswara Reddy will be hearing this case soon since it is PIL. As everyone knew, Rajamouli never told that it is a historic film and always stated that it is a fictional film based on true characters. No one knows what happened in the life of those two freedom fighters for a good few years and Rajamouli based his story on those unknown years.
‘RRR’ is produced by DVV Danayya over a budget of over 400 crores and it will be released all over the world. SS Rajamouli is aiming to score another industry hit with this multi-starrer and MM Keeravani is the music composer. Alia Bhatt is playing the role of Sita in this film while Ajay Devgn will appear in a brief role. Olivia Morris is also a part of the film. Apart from a few noted Hollywood actors, ‘RRR’ has actors like Shriya Saran, Rajeev Kanakala, Samuthirakani and others doing key roles. NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetha Ramaraju in this massive film which was delayed multiple times already. Senthil Kumar is the director of photography while Sabu Cyril is the production designer. Srinivas Mohan is the VFX supervisor for this huge project.
