Remuneration of music composers is something that keeps going up and down depending on the number of hits and chartbusters they have in their kitty. Depending on it, on an average basis, one can be paid Rs 3 to 4 Cr. Talking about the one who receives the highest amount of remuneration, in Telugu music industry, it is Devi Sri Prasad’s name that comes first.
Keeping the amazing chartbusters Thaman has been delivering in the recent times, undoubtedly, he must have increased his remuneration, which would be a bit higher than what DSP charges. Even Anirudh Ravichander charges something around the same. Sources say that AR Rahman charges Rs 5 to 6 Cr for one film.
Well, looks like MM Keeravani has bagged something really big that no other composer down the south could get. Sources say that he is being paid a whopping price of Rs 16 crore for composing music for Rajamouli’s RRR and this is definitely a record. This news has been doing rounds on social media.
Also, it is said that the remuneration is not just for himself, but for the whole family. Going into the details, Rajamouli, his wife and kids, Keeravani, his wife and kids, literally, the whole family works together when the maverick director makes a movie.
So, instead of paying individually, the family makes sure they get a good chunk of amount paid like a package, so that later, they all distribute it among themselves, equally. So this way, the amount that Keeravani will be receiving is said to be around Rs 16 Cr.
Most of Keeravani’s credit goes to Rajamouli only. But it was Keeravani, as the eldest among the brothers, took care of the needs of his siblings, and the whole family of course. So that is why Rajamouli is making sure his brother also gets huge profits. If this is true, it is evident that Keeravani will be the music composer to be receiving such a huge amount as remuneration.
