Its almost eight years since power couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared screen space, in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’. Since then, fans are waiting for the couple to act together, but it hasn’t happened. Going by the latest reports, had Aish allegedly not given more importance to remuneration, her reunion with Jr Bachchan would have happened this year.
Aish and Abhi were recently approached by a filmmaker with a script and that they even gave their nod. Both were supposed to play top police officers who are married to each other and their relationship gets stuck in political crisis. While AB readily gave his nod, Aish had apprehensions about certain scenes and hence she asked the director to work on them.
By the time, the director came back, Aish had signed another film, for which she was reportedly offered Rs 10 Cr remuneration. And, Aish reportedly walked out of the project which could have been her reunion with her husband. Another reason is that makers weren’t ready to pay the fee that Aish quoted.
To summarize, Aish rejected the film opposite her husband and signed the film for which she was offered Rs 10 Cr remuneration, say reports.
