As expected Attarintiki Daredi took a wonderful start at the box office and created history in terms of opening weekend collections. The film has surpassed all the records in US and is on a mission to topple many in domestic circuit. However the real test for this film will be in the coming days as it has to face the ultimate villain. Attarintiki Daredi’s piracy copy was out even before the release of the film, but that didn’t stop it from being the record breaking opener.
Attarintiki Daredi has tremendous repeat value and this piracy is killing it. People who had seen the movie in theaters may not come again because pirated DVDs of good quality are available everywhere. AD is likely to cross 45 crores share in its first week and it will need another 30 crores to beat Magadheera’s full run share to become the biggest hit ever. For that AD has to face and kill its ultimate villain, or else it will struggle to beat Gabbar Singh lifetime collections too.
