Punjab Youth Congress set tractors ablaze at India gate

Subsequent to Ram Nath Kovind’s introduction of Agriculture Bills and new contentious farm laws, the Punjab Youth Congress workers today set ablaze a tractor at the India Gate area to protest against the legislation.

About 10-15 Punjab Youth Congress activists arrived Delhi in a truck to protest against the BJP government’s maltreatment of farmers by lighting a tractor at India gate around 7.15 a.m in honour of the memory of revolutionary leader Bhagat Singh. They shouted slogans “Shaheed Bhagat Singh Amar rahe” and also protested against PM Modi’s rule.
“If the deaf are to hear, the sound has to be very loud: Bhagat Singh,” the youth congress shared about the martyr in a tweet.

Today on the occasion of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, Prime minister Narendra Modi paid due homage, saying his courage will inspire individuals forever.

Singh was born on this day ie 28th September in western Punjab in 1907. His patriotism and bravery from young age that shook the British empire, his progressive demonstrations to target the empire and his hanging when he was just 23, have made him one of the more prominent leaders of the Indian Independence movement.
