British singer-songwriter enacts Allu Arjun’s iconic dialogue

May 23, 2024

Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated Telugu film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is generating significant buzz not only in India but also internationally. Scheduled for release on August 15, 2024, the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise has captured the attention of a global audience, with a surprising contribution from a British music icon.

In a delightful turn of events, popular singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran made a guest appearance on Kapil Sharma’s comedy show on Netflix. During the show, host Kapil Sharma playfully challenged Sheeran to recite a few lines of Hindi dialogue, including the now-famous “Jhukega Nahi Saala” line from Pushpa. Much to the audience’s amusement, Sheeran not only accepted the challenge but also delivered the line with impressive pronunciation, showcasing his appreciation for Indian cinema.

A video of Sheeran’s performance quickly went viral on social media platforms, highlighting the international appeal of Pushpa and its growing influence beyond Indian borders. For those unfamiliar, Ed Sheeran is a globally recognized singer-songwriter, known for chart-topping hits like “Shape of You.” He has long expressed a deep connection with India, frequently visiting the country and demonstrating genuine interest in Indian films. Sheeran’s viral video has undoubtedly added to the excitement surrounding Pushpa 2: The Rule, further amplifying the anticipation for its release.

The film’s teaser and recently released single, “Pushpa Pushpa,” have already generated significant buzz online. The song has become a viral sensation on YouTube, inspiring numerous dance videos and further solidifying the film’s cultural impact.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule picks up where the first film left off, following the journey of a red sandalwood smuggler, played by Allu Arjun, as he navigates the treacherous world of the smuggling syndicate. The sequel promises to explore the protagonist’s struggle to maintain his dominance in the face of new challenges. The film boasts a talented cast, including Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Sunil, and Rao Ramesh, all reprising their roles from the first film.

With its captivating story, impressive visuals, and growing international recognition, Pushpa 2: The Rule is poised to be a major cinematic event when it hits theaters on August 15th, coinciding with India’s Independence Day celebrations.
