With Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao opting for an early election in the State, many new political permutations and combinations are expected to take shape in the next couple of months. While the Opposition grouping-led the Congress Party is trying to consolidate the anti-incumbency Vote in its favour; KCR is likely to practice politics of division in the run-up to the Polls.
According to information available from reliable sources, the ‘Pink’ Boss is keen to seek the help of YSR Congress supremo Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to split traditional Congress Votes in Telangana!In 2014, YSRCP fielded candidates in across 92 Constituencies in Telangana; and was also rewarded with winning Khammam Parliament seat, and three Assembly seats. However, the winning Member of Parliament and MLAs joined TRS subsequently.
Now in 2018, KCR is once again seeking the support of Jagan Mohan Reddy to field YSRCP candidates in certain Constituencies of Telangana to ensure divide pro-Congress Vote Bank. According to the sources in TRS and YSRCP, Jagan has been requested to field candidates across unified Khammam, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy limits to ensure the fans the late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy do not Vote in favour of the Congress Party.
With the Poll bugle likely to be blown sooner than later, it would be interesting to see if KCR-Jagan combo will yield favorable results for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
