‘PK’ and ‘Gopala Gopala’ are two successful movies that have similar story line. Both the movies stand against commercialisation of God and make a mockery of humans attributing their fears to supernatural force running this world.
Director Raju Hirani’s PK that features Amir Khan is inching on collecting more than 450 crores share across the globe. At the same time, Kishore Pardasany directorial Gopala Gopala which has Pawan and Venky in the leads collected around 30 crore share in its first week.
When these two films are having similar line of story, how come PK reached more people than Gopala? Of course, Gopala Gopala is a regional film while PK has universal appeal due to being made in Hindi.
More than that, PK is presented with more intensity to get into the nerves of audiences, while Gopala has more funnier side creating more comedy than projecting the actual satire. Maybe that presentation difference created this vast difference in collections.
