Christmas weekend saw many films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam few in Hindi and Kannada.Telugu and Malayalam seem to have come up with weak films but Tamil had 9 releases on 20th and 21st December. Out of 9, 5 films came up with good buzz. Out of them, Seethakathi with Vijay Sethupathi in the lead as a 75 year old star actor gained critical acclaim.
Maari-2 got average talk and Adagamanu with Jayam Ravi, Raashi Khanna and Kanaa starring Aishwarya Rajesh got positive word of mouth too.But Seethakathi is dominating as per the trade experts from Tamil Box office and rest all are fighting for second and other places, it seems.
KGF got the hype and buzz to sustain weekend while Zero is said to be another underwhelming film from SRK.Seems like at All-India level, all films are underwhelming for all the hype they generated except for director Balaji’s Seethakathi.
