The hottest film hub for the Tollywood industry and the film freaks is Filmnagar. Quite often, one gets to see at least one celebrity or two every other hour in that area. But now, a new film village is evolving and it is growing big. We are talking about the Manikonda area and it is becoming the chosen place.
The Filmnagar area has reached a saturation point. Though lands are there it is not reachable to all owing to its prices. Only cine bigshots with huge money can afford to buy a property in that area. As a result, the rest who form the major part of Tollywood are heading towards Manikonda area and establishing their homes.
Right now the growth is not geometric but arithmetic. Given the fact that the Telangana CM KCR has already announced about 2000 acres for a new film city, all are waiting to get more details on that so that they can plan their residences in that area. For now, Manikonda is the movie industry zone.
