Nenu Sailaja Movie Review

Story:

Hari (Ram) is a naughty boy since his childhood who goes on telling ‘I Love You’ to every girl he comes across. But rejections followed at similar pace which disheartens Hari. Years later, he bumps in to his childhood neighbour, Sailaja (Keerthi Suresh) in college and falls for her instantly. But he hesitates to propose her with the fear of another rejection. When he finally dares and propose, the story takes an interesting Twist.

Performances:

Apart from the film, Ram himself is a relief in the movie. Its a break to his routine tailor made characters after a long time. He did some good performance especially in the second half where there is a good dose of sentiment. In some scenes towards the end, we find him immitating like Pawan Kalyan.

Keerthi Suresh makes a good debut. She performed well in the role which have that girl the next door looks. Pradeep Rawat gets a hilarious role. Sathyaraj and Vijay Chander are good in characters with some depth.

Technical Performances:

Kishore Tirumala who made his debut with a disastrous Second hand, is a success with this film. He came up with a refreshing line and is largely success in dealing with the film. But more than the direction, most part of the success would go to his pen. The dialogues are very impressive. The first half of the film is good with some genuine fun but second half derails with predictable happening. The emotional scenes towards the end worked out.

Devi Sri Prasad has come up with very good music and the songs are shot well too. The Background score is not up to the mark. Cinematography by Sameer Reddy is decent which is the case with editing of Sreekar Prasad. Production Values are good.

Plus Points:

  • Situational humor
  • First half
  • Pre climax and climax

Minus Points:

  • Predictable story
  • Second half after first song till Pre climax
  • Routine sentiment

Final Say:

Nenu Sailaja is not a different attempt but efforts by the team worked out to making it an entertaining drama. There are moments which can be enjoyed all over the film but lack of distinct comedy may not work well with family and masses. Its success will largely depend on how the targeted youth audience receive it.

Our take: AVERAGE!!!
