Naga Chaitanya will next be seen in Thank You, a slice of life love drama directed by Vikram K Kumar, who is known for making feel-good entertainers with peculiar plots. Apparently, he has come up with a winning story for Thank You. As revealed by senior writer/director, BVS Ravi, Thank You will be a slice of life drama in which Naga Chaitanya will be playing a character with three shades. The film will be on the lines of Premam, a Telugu remake of a Malayalam film with the same title. Naga Chaitanya played the central role in Premam’s remake and he was seen in three different avatars in the love drama. Now, Chaitanya is said to be coming up with a similar attempt with Thank You.
As said by BVS Ravi, Chaitanya’s Thank You will have shades of Premam. The narrative will revolve around Naga Chaitanya’s central character and bring to life three different stages of his life journey. The film will be loaded with love drama, comedy, romance, and intense emotions, the characteristic traits that made Premam such a big blockbuster. Both Naga Chaitanya and Vikram K Kumar are confident of scoring a blockbuster with Thank You and so is the producer, Dil Raju, who is regarded as a minimum guarantee producer.
Thank You has Naga Chaitanya and Raashi Khanna in the lead roles. In the younger version of the character played by Chaitanya, he will be seen as an ardent fan of Mahesh Babu. A leaked video from the sets in which Chaitanya is seen assembling Mahesh’s cut-out went viral on social media. Vikram K Kumar is said to have come up with his trademark intricate love story for Thank You.
On a related note, Chaitanya had recently completed shooting for his maiden Hindi film, Laal Singh Chaddha, which has Aamir Khan in the lead role. He is also in talks for an Amazon Prime original web series that will be directed by Vikram K Kumar, who is currently helming Thank You. He will soon start working on Bangarraju, which has Nagarjun in the lead roles. Krithi Shetty has bee roped in to romance Naga Chaitanya in this film.
