Director Puri Jagan has been in the news from last one week as his latest film “Rogue” trailer was released and some announcements about his next films have come. More than that, the big thing in the discussion is that why his film with Venkatesh didn’t take off?
A week ago, Puri Jagan has announced on his twitter page, “Rocking announcement venture with Nandamuri Balakrishna sir, Bhavya Creations Anand Prasad Garu. Muhurtham: March 9th, Release: Sept 29th”. At a time when he’s about to director Venkatesh, this announcement has stunned everyone. Earlier when there is buzz that his supposed “Auto Jaani” with Megastar Chiru got cancelled, he announced Mahesh Babu’s Jana Gana Mana all of a sudden.
That’s the reason people started feeling that Venkatesh might not have liked Puri Jagan’s script and hence our director moved to another star hero. But inside murmurs are revealing that Puri Jagan is not coming down in terms of his remuneration and that’s the reason for the delay of projects.
While the producers are offering only 5 crores to Puri Jagan looking at this recent track record, he’s demanding something around 8 crores or not interested in doing a film. With many of his films like Jyothilakshmi and Ism going for a toss at the box office in the recent past, Puri is worrying about the payment he will get and many producers are not ready to pay him what he’s demanding.
And now, the success of Rogue at the box office will also affect Puri’s fortunes big time. Hope the director bounces back with a big hit.
