Actress-singer Mamta Mohandas is all set to make her comeback to Telugu cinema after nearly eight years.
Mamta first came into limelight by rendering the terrific title song of NTR’s “Rakhee”. She also won a Filmfare award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song. Later, she made her acting debut in SS Rajamouli-NTR’s “Yamadonga”. She went on to act in a few more movies before calling it a day in Tollywood. Her last Telugu release is Nagarjuna’s “Kedi”, which released in 2010.
The tall seductress has now started shooting for a Telugu-Tamil bilingual starring Prabhu Deva in lead role. She has been active in Malayalam cinema all these years but the Prabhu Deva starrer is her return to Telugu/Tamil cinema after eight years, and she is quite excited.
It is only a matter of time before she signs a straight Telugu comeback film.
