The success of ‘Baahubali’ has given hope to Indian filmmakers across the country to make larger than life films and recover their investment. In the last couple of years many such films have released and tried their best. Joining the list is Malayalam film industry which is known for tight budget with rich content films.
‘Mamangam’ is the film and the teaser of it is out. Dated back to 1695, this is a period drama film inspired by truth and stories. The teaser claims the finale of a 280 year war and how a 12 year changed the history.
Mammootty is seen in the lead role and in the last shot where he jumps high to take on a solider is the high point of the teaser. ‘Mamangam’ also stars Unni Mukundan, Prachi Tehlan, Siddique, Achuthan, Anusitara, Iniya, Kaniha, Tarun Arora and others in the prominent roles.
Directed by M Padmakumar, the teaser certainly pulls your attention and hope it lives up to the expectations it has set for itself.
