Floored by Mahanati, the biopic of yesteryear actress Savitri, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has offered to give tax exemption to Mahanati film and stressed the strong need for people to watch the film and learn the message that Savitri’s life gives to people.
Naidu recalled Savitri’s charity works, her boundless talent, her self-confidence and her rise, fall. He lauded the makers for making a film on Savitri. Naidu also personally felicitated the main cast, crew of the film with Shawl and presented mementos.
Delighted with Naidu’s offer, producer Aswini Dutt described that his plan to give “Tax Exemption” to the film itself is a great honour, proud achievement. He said his team knows how much hard Chandrababu Naidu is working towards the progress of the state. Gently turning down the ‘Tax Exemption’, Aswini Dutt asked the state government to use the money for the development of the state.
Dutt heaped praises on Naidu and his relentless efforts to make the new state of Andhra Pradesh into a progressive state. He said he is proud of his daughters who received honour from CM Chandrababu Naidu.
