Krishna Vamsi’s Arundhati with Nayantara

Once upon a time, Krishna Vamsi ruled the industry with back to back hits but now he lost his pace and owned a bag of continuous flops. But now, the director is all set to try his hand in a new genre, which hasn’t tried so far, say sources.

Actually, this talented director was supposed to direct Anushka’s Arundathi, which took the box office by heavy storm, but backed out of the project due to other commitments. After his denial, the project fell into the hands of Kodi Rama Krishna. Now, Krishna Vamsi is keen to do a horror flick with a little bit of mythical touch in the likes of Arundhati. Guess what that budge is and who will play the lead role?

We hear that he want’s to make this film at a whopping huge budget of Rs. 45 crores. Though his mentor RGV tried his luck with many horror flicks in Telugu and Hindi languages, KV is new to this genre. And one wonders what made him prefer a horror thriller rather than family dramas. Other news has that the director approached Nayanthara for the lead role with the help of his wife Ramya Krishnan, who is quite popular in Telugu and Tamil film circles.

Nayan already proved her best in horror films like Maya and Dora, and recently approached for the full-length ghost role in the Tamil remake of Bollywood’s scariest film Pari. Well, let’s see whether the filmmaker who is close to the hearts of audience for his Telugu nativity in films will get successful in directing a horror flick. And will he be able to get Nayan onboard as well?
