Indian skipper Virat Kohli was termed the most in-form batsman in the world prior to the beginning of India vs Australia home series. However, it seems that the dashing cricketer’s bad luck has also come along with the mighty Australians.
On Monday, third day of the ongoing second Test vs Australi, Kohli got out in the unluckiest fashion. He was adjudged LBW for 12. When the on-field umpire gave Kohli out, the India skipper instantly asked for a review as he was confident of hitting the ball with bat before it kissed his pad.
After looking at the replays for over five minutes from all available angles, the third umpire said, “there is no conclusive evidence to confirm that the ball hit the bat first’. And, he went with the on-field umpire’s decision, which forced Kohli to get back to dressing room. A furious Kohli had to leave the field with a burdened heart as his side needed him the most today given the situation of India.
A few moments later, BCCI took to twitter and asked cricket fans if Kohli was unfortunate to be given out. “OUT or NOT OUT ? Richard Kettleborough thought it was out. What do you think ? #Virat,” the post of BCCI read.
It may be noted that Kohli was dismissed very cheaply in all the four innings in this series. On three out of four occasions, he got out in unlucky fashion.
