Chandrababu Naidu has yet again proved that he is a seasoned, experienced politician. In a series of interviews he had given to national media in New Delhi, Naidu made interesting comments on his peer and counterpart KCR.
When noted journalist Rajdeep Sardesai described KCR as Naidu’s “arch rival”, Chandrababu interrupted Rajdeep, took objection to the word and clarified to him that KCR is his friend, colleague. Although there is nothing “great” about this, but by saying so in Delhi in front of national media, Chandrababu has shot Two Birds in single shot.
1. Chandrababu sent strong signal to Modi & Amit Shah that both KCR, Chandrababu are one and could unite to defeat him, BJP in both Telugu states.
2. Chandrababu has offered olive branch to KCR to ditch little ‘ego’ differences and work together for upcoming Federal Front constituting the likes of Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati, TDP, TRS and more.
In fact, KCR was waiting for such comment from Chandrababu. KCR was little upset after Chandrababu took national media by storm by pulling out from NDA. This had taken away KCR’s fight against Centre. Also, KCR was “annoyed” that Chandrababu hasn’t discussed with him before moving “No-Confidence Motion” against Modi government. Amidst this, Naidu’s initiative to join hands with KCR will be a welcome change and will be a death knell to the BJP’s hegemony.
