‘Ramayana’ Not In 1 Or 2 But In 3 Parts!

May 21, 2024

Inspired by the phenomenal success of “Baahubali,” director Nitesh Tiwari is embarking on an ambitious project – a big-budget retelling of the epic Ramayana. This grand cinematic venture promises to be a visual extravaganza unlike anything seen before in Indian cinema.

High Budget and Grand Scale: With a budget exceeding a staggering 800 crores, “Ramayana” signifies a new era of high-budget filmmaking in India. This investment reflects the film’s grand scale, aiming to capture the grandeur and emotional depth of the epic tale.

Star-Studded Cast: The makers have assembled a star-studded cast to bring the characters of Ramayana to life. Ranbir Kapoor portrays the righteous Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi embodies the grace of Goddess Sita. Rocking Star Yash takes on the role of the antagonist, Ravana. This combination of popular actors is sure to generate immense buzz and audience anticipation.

Pan-India Appeal: The film is planned for a multi-lingual release, ensuring it reaches a wider audience across India. This approach acknowledges the universal appeal of the Ramayana story and its deep connection to Indian culture.

Three-Part Epic: Unlike traditional cinematic adaptations, “Ramayana” will be a three-part saga. The first part is expected to culminate with the marriage of Rama and Sita, while the second part will delve into their exile and Sita’s abduction. The final installment will showcase the epic war between Rama and Ravana. This multi-part structure allows for a more nuanced and detailed exploration of the Ramayana narrative.

Visual Spectacle and Long Production: The film is envisioned as a visual spectacle, with extensive VFX and production design. This commitment to visual grandeur necessitates a lengthy production schedule, with filming expected to continue for three years.

Release and Anticipation: While the exact release date remains unconfirmed, reports suggest a target of October 2027. This extended wait only amplifies the anticipation surrounding the film. “Ramayana” has the potential to not only shatter box office records but also captivate international audiences with its retelling of a timeless Indian epic.
