Prabhas Takes a Pay Cut for Raja Saab: Here’s What We Know

July 23, 2024

Prabhas, the pan-India star, is known for his simplicity both on and off-screen. Despite his massive popularity, he maintains a low profile and is rarely seen in the media, except during movie releases. However, when it comes to food, he often surprises his co-stars. The latest reports suggest that Prabhas has taken a pay cut for his upcoming movie, Raja Saab, to support the producers. Let’s dive into the details.

After the blockbuster success of Baahubali, Prabhas has significantly increased his remuneration. It is said that he has crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark for his recent films. For his latest release, Kalki 2898 AD, he reportedly charged a whopping Rs. 150 crore. Setting aside these figures, Prabhas has allegedly taken a slight pay cut for Raja Saab.

Raja Saab is being produced by People’s Media Factory, a production house that previously distributed the Telugu version of Adipurush. During this process, the production house incurred some losses. As a gesture of goodwill, Prabhas has agreed to take only Rs. 100 crore as his remuneration for Raja Saab. Although not officially confirmed, netizens are discussing the authenticity of this news.

Prabhas has an exciting lineup of movies in the coming years. Raja Saab is expected to release this Christmas, followed by Spirit, Salaar 2, and Kalki 2. Based on this schedule, it appears that Prabhas’ diary will be full for the next five years. If all these projects materialize, the Darling hero’s remuneration is likely to cross the Rs. 200 crore mark.
