Often, film stars look up to senior industry biggies to help them out in planning their careers. This dependence is more evident among actresses. Now, homely Telugu beauty Anjali is said to be taking help from star writer and filmmaker Kona Venkat.
Anjali’s rise in Tollywood was not an overnight phenomenon as she struggled a lot to make a lasting impression after her disastrous Tollywood debut several years ago. She then made a successful career in Tamil and returned to Tollywood with films like Journey, Masala and SVSC etc.
Initially, Anjali was said to be in guidance of a senior producer for a couple of years during her controversial times with her family. Of late, Kona Venkat is rumored to be playing godfather to Anjali ever since they both teamed up for the horror comedy hit, Geethanjali.
Many fans and industry people were in for a huge surprise when Anjali was chosen for Balayya’s prestigious 99th film, Dictator. But, inside buzz is that Kona Venkat played a huge role in Anjali grabbing the project thanks to his association with director Sriwass.
Apparently, Anjali is discussing all her projects with Kona and signing them only after the writer’s approval. Well, it is indeed appreciable that a senior like Kona is recommending a much junior actress to zoom herself into the top league.
